Engineering Site Appraisals

Site selection is one of the first steps in the planning of any development. Goodson Associates can assist with this process by carry out an initial Engineering Site Appraisal to examine the suitability of a site for development or an existing structure for a particular use.

Site Investigation

Our input into an early site investigation brief with our in-house team also brings benefits by targeting potential areas for more detailed investigation, minimising risk exposure and allowing potential foundation options to be explored, thus providing an economic solution.

Infrastructure

From large scale city masterplanning to road and buildings infrastructure, our Infrastructure team’s combined expertise in problem solving and innovation allows us to deliver efficient, resilient and sustainable outcomes that we take pride in.

Green Goodson

We build assessments of embodied carbon within our designs, evaluating options to lower the embodied carbon within the design, including material choices and efficient building layout, seeking to achieve a low embodied carbon value.

Structural Engineering

Our expertise in structural engineering design ranges from complex multi-use development schemes to smaller bespoke projects. We focus on deliverability, added value and an attention to detail, combined with a sustainable attitude to design.

Transportation

Transportation input is so much more than vehicular traffic movement. Our Transportation team can provide input at all stages of a project, from initial masterplanning right through to construction and beyond.

Our Mission & Vision

After celebrating our 30th anniversary last year, we were absolutely delighted to collect the award in the Best UK Consultancy (medium) category, enjoying a gala dinner at the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Awards in January.

This award was testament to the dedication and commitment of our talented teams of engineers, technicians and support staff. Having just celebrated 30 years in business this is a fantastic achievement for our company.

We continue to develop our skills in Green Goodson and our practical tools to challenge, measure reduce embodied carbon on our projects from inception to completion is integral to how we go about delivering projects.

We are extremely proud of the diversity of talent we have across our three offices from our trainee revit techinicans through to our Associates and Technical Directors.

We are excited by the growth and development of the next generation of Engineers and the opportunites to develop better collaboration through technology mixed with the “grey hair” experience.

And, whilst we would all still like another hour in the day, with hybrid working as an industry we are striving toward a better work life balance.
